Indoor and outdoor event branding: plan a reusable setup
Plan which branded products belong at indoor and outdoor events, and adapt your artwork without buying everything twice.

List the events before choosing the products
Write down the events you expect to attend and what each provides. An indoor exhibition may supply a booth, while an outdoor market may require you to bring the structure for your space. Note the available footprint, access arrangements and the main activity at each event. This helps you identify what genuinely carries across both settings and what serves a specific role.
Separate the core branding from the structure
Your logo, main message and colour palette can remain consistent even when the physical setup changes. A tablecloth may suit the table you take to several events, while the backdrop or shelter changes with the venue. Check the product specifications and instructions before using any display outdoors. A product appearing in a mixed Studio setup does not establish outdoor suitability.
Adapt the amount of information
People approaching an outdoor stall may first need to recognise what you sell. At an exhibition, they may already be close enough to read a short explanation. Keep the brand recognisable, but use the surface and viewing distance to decide how much text belongs on it. Prepare a concise headline that can work across the range instead of reproducing one crowded layout everywhere.
Plan practical differences
Indoor spaces need consideration of entrances, nearby stands and venue services. Outdoor spaces bring different ground and weather conditions. Use the relevant product instructions and organiser requirements when planning supports, positioning and operation. Check equipment compatibility and any power needs for the actual event rather than assuming last month’s setup will transfer unchanged.
Keep a record of what worked
After each event, note which products you used, where people approached and what was difficult to transport or arrange. Save the corresponding Studio setup with a clear name. Those observations can guide the next purchase: you may need a different layout or clearer message rather than another large product. Review both the full setup and the individual components before ordering additions.
